"New Trail?"

The last grading that I learned in ICT (Information and Communication Technology), but it doesn’t mean that the last grading also the last of my knowledge. Adobe Photoshop I’ve discovered any keys that I must understand, at first I just simply used a simple app just to edit an images to look ghastly, but then I saw this one, it is deeper how it looks. I watched the tutorial from YouTube so then I gained more knowledge, it was effortly but fascinating working, from now in editing image I can just simply work here.

                 Adobe Photoshop is one of the most popular and well-known photo- and graphics-editing software applications around. It became a mainstay for users who want to edit existing photos or even create their own images and graphics. It is considered a raster graphics editor, which means users can create and edit images and save them in one of many formats. Edit individual images or large batches of images in Photoshop. Photoshop has many automation features and keyboard shortcuts that help you save time on repetitive tasks. Install filters and plugins, new brushes and textures, and other useful extras to Photoshop to continually boost its functionality.

From the first grading until here, in this last grading; I feel thankful for giving my knowledge that all things needs patience, the patience we need to establish and it’s not hopeless, and I also hope that, here, incoming beginner shall know that what they knowledge is looking for will always have a time. My knowledge in me from then and now is getting more brighter that I can imagine, and I am also thankful to my dear classmates, when I needed their hands to help me and lift me, It only say Goodbye in words but the connections, memories and love never say Goodbye.

I walk through the lightness but there’s still a darkness that needs light.

"118 Years."

Foundation Day is the most awaited and the busiest occasion celebrated in our school. Ilocos Sur National High School annually celebrates this special occasion to commemorate the day when the school was founded or established. Commemorating the school foundation day is significant since it is the chance to remind the students about the humble beginnings of their educational institution. This could help them better appreciate the improvements they are currently enjoying which have been worked-hard for by school authorities, parents, and students that came before them.

The 118th ISNHS Foundation Day where some students waited for, the sweat and lot of efforts but the most excited and granted occasion. Many activities to be done including Coronation Rights, Parade, and Field Demonstration. Students are tasked to perform variety of dances in the Field Demonstration held at the Ilocos Sur National High School field. The Coronation Rights for Mr. and Ms. ISNHS held at the Ilocos Sur National High school Centennial Gymnasium. Students enjoyed the 2-day activities because it is the biggest and grandest celebration of the school. In the recently concluded Field Demonstration, there are only two grade levels to be chosen as a winner, any grade level from boys and girls.

The Foundation Day is purely filled with happiness and joyness. It is the time of celebrating the founding of our school that became our second home, that we need to appreciate and show love, no matter how the distance and years leave.

"It's Indistinct, Yet."

Well obviously I have a lot of dreams, what’s the purpose of Education if dreams don’t exist? What’s the use of parents’; sacrifices just to achieve what we need to achieve? My parents said, that we are they hope and it’s our gold work to study well and achieve our dreams that we won’t regret for tomorrow to make our loved ones seeing their happiness smile in their face that we’ve been waiting for in our entire life.

But I still don’t know what I am going to pick, am I too late or I need more challenges? But my only goal is to repay the sacrifices of my parents, and also to help my future family in our needs and bright future. But my mind keeps on confusing me whether a soldier, engineer, doctor, seaman, or I.T. but I know that I am always not alone, for some many reason, I prefer to choose the strand STEM; because here in this strand many ways you can learn even if it’s another strand, I can also learn it here. And my first two other choice is Doctor or Seaman; some are just my other conceptions, so I’ll go here and learn what I need to learn for my future.

I need my dreams and my dreams need me, I know that there is a lot time, but when that time comes, the time seeing the smile of my parents.­­

"Kannawidan"

To show and share their treasures to the whole world, the locals conceived a festival that highlights these cultural traditions and they called it the “Kannadiwan Festival”. It is a celebration that lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February. Included in the course of events is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province.

On the opening day, there is usually a mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral. It is followed by a procession of the Patron Saints of the 40 parishes and images of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary around the city. It is the Ilocano’s; way of giving thanks to the Almighty not only for the bountiful blessings but also for the rich heritage of the city, including the close family ties among the Ilocanos. This event showcases the deep-rooted religiosity of the townsfolk.

One mission of the festival is paying more attention to the children. It is because of the observation that many traditions, songs, dances, and other Ilocano culture are not recognized by the younger generations of the province. Instead, children are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they see television than the traditional ones. It is one of the reasons why the Kannadiwan Festival is conducted.

Here, children may appreciate their rich culture and tradition. Also on the opening day of the festival, a traditional ritual is performed by the students of the Ilocos Sur, especially high school students. There are different contests that focus to the ability and skills of the students. These include traditional tribal rituals, choir and glee club competition, marching band contest, traditional music ensemble, dance drama, traditional and folk dances, contemporary dance competition, and street dancing showdown.

"A Better Place"

Blessed with intellect and a set of skills, we, the human race, have been placed on Earth for a purpose, and it is our duty in life to discover exactly what that purpose is. As stated in the Bible, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” I believe giving back to society is, quite simply, a responsibility.

Many feel the task of positive change is impossible, something to be left to visionaries, however, I believe each and every one of us can make a difference. And we can start this moment. Changing the world begins with improving who we are on the inside. We each have a unique identity and our own distinct thoughts. These thoughts often propel us to act. So, by mindfully centering our thoughts in a positive direction, we can improve our actions and thus our character.

I can improve the world by consciously looking around and thinking, at every opportunity, how can I help? The most powerful way one can change the world isn’t simply by doing one thing, but instead is a way of life revolving around the concept of altruism. While some may side with the philosopher Hobbes and argue that every act is tainted by primal human desires of remembrance and power, and thus is not truly selfless, I disagree. Charitable acts are not selfish because they improve our society as a whole.

An altruistic act may be as small as smiling and wishing someone “Good morning.” By completing small acts of kindness, I can gradually make the world a better place. Eventually, when I have the means, these small acts will evolve into greater deeds: helping people in less developed countries, adopting a child, or choosing a career where I improve lives. This lifestyle and kind acts all stem from the same root: self-improvement.

"Feast Commemoration"

The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. After he was touched by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed to Paul and he endured a lot of hardships and danger to spread the word of God to far places.

 Vigan’s main church, the Metropolitan Cathedral is dedicated to St. Paul and it stands at the core of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. The major Catholic educational institution in Vigan that stands beside the church is also dedicated to the patron, the St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur. The Vigan City Fiesta usually lasts for several days. It includes within the period the celebration of the anniversary of the cityhood of Vigan, which is commemorated every January 27.

Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta. They are joined by thousands of visitors from other parts of the Philippines and other countries in enjoying the cultural shows, parades and street dancing prepared by the local government with the help of the local industries and communities. There are also food fairs, arts and crafts exhibits, as well as a visiting carnival.

"New Through the Lightness"

New Year doesn’t define that the person is automatically new also, it defines the actions on them on their true vary. New Year defines that what’s new is a new journey again to look forward, a new start of being who you are and what you are now from the past till the present. It’s a large blessing to accept and appreciate the new existence in our world, a new friend that we’ll come along again in every seconds, minutes, and hours until 365 days to say goodbye again.

                Appreciating a full of heart to 2019 for giving all I’ve experienced a lot of precise and repulsive journeys. The hard work that I overcome, the happiness that is only temporary but memorable, and the sadness experience that made me stronger and to forget for the best of me, a massive thankful to a friend for joining me from the fledge until the extremity, for the darkness that let me to see more lightness that I deserve, it’s hectic but the only choice is acceptance. Welcoming 2020, a new friend in a new journey or experience from the start to be punctual, the center of presence challenges, and the finale to satisfy the relation. A new path to the future on who you are from the early and to tell to neglect the past that the repulsive that I experience is that I don’t deserve, and promise to restore a full of happiness and gracefulness that I deserve.

                A change on a person defines that darkness is that we don’t deserve, it gives more and more lightness we deserve to be who we are. For a new journey in a long journey, that should give us the rise of lightness and the demoting of darkness. The lightness we need is our inspiration to take us the path to our future.

"See Something (3rd Reflection)"

From this 3^rd Grading Period I’ve learned something that I thought it is not a part in this world that every human can raise its potential, showing my knowledge that there is really a time for everything. The curiosity in the eyes is the hunger of their potentiality, our knowledge that takes us to their design and our rights to profess that is delaying us. Learning something comes unexpected, the thing that needs wait and waiting for us.

Microsoft FrontPage I met, at first I was so ignorant in this matter because I just only heard when the knowledge in me needs a time. I gained an understanding of the Microsoft FrontPage as a “WYSIWYG” (What You See Is What You Get), it helps me to create a lot of web pages without exhaustion. The relations between this and Microsoft Word are closely inevitable, by needing the keys to MS Word and simply copying, the direct paste in MS FrontPage was so relax; text, pictures and others that you’re interested in. The formats automatically consider the way it was inserted or typed and also the rights in editing whether in MS Word or MS FrontPage are identical. By knowing a few of its occult the knowledge in me again is saving what it sees and leading me to where I should be.

No signs on inspiring but the right in inspired holds us unexpectedly, the knowledge of one may be deliberate to walk, the thing it wants to get needs more footstep to achieve. The potentiality we had now will never be an endless, the future that is waiting doesn’t need a clear potential but needs a clear on which you are. Learning  something doesn’t get only new in mystery but it goes through steps in you.

"Season of Partition"

The season full of gracefulness and happiness, the season we consider as the sharing, forgiving, and loving. The Christmas season we expect as one of the greatest day in our life, because it was the day our God Jesus Christ was born. The people as the part of our family we embodiment was the feeling like the people in our precious world full of union with a love appreciations. Giving without waiting a replacement is called not just because it’s Christmas but a true sharing gives a true heart; the target reality of the Christmas Season.

Presents we give and receive and it was surely thankful, but the presents or gifts, the Christmas tree or however the light of the light of each home are not the motif of this season. What’s essence is the deep meaning we actually don’t know but we fulfill as expected, the peace to feel the spirit, the forgiveness that shows a true heart and the love we witness like endless. One of the dearest day relations as one of the perfect day, however blinded as the time passes by the essence shall still remain not only in Christmas Season but also the actions of these motifs will forever be in our hands; every seconds, minutes and hours.

Christmas Season we say the day of us to hold hands together, to light our hearts together, and to climb together, the true present of Christmas is not utilize by money. Strangers we sight are needed to feel each other the essence of this, not just because of the day but to pursue for the goal of the world. It’s not only for who you know but also for what you are in your heart. Christmas Season is the Season of Partition.

"Goal for All"

The Gender and Development (GAD) approach focuses on the socially constructed differences between men and women, the need to challenge existing gender roles and relations, and the creation and effects of class differences on development. The relationship between men and women are the dreams to be uniform, the present of brutality issues entirely leveling; injustices, immoralities, inequality in experiencing.  We are born to be fair but the one majority we let down, the strengths and weaknesses they judge by resulting a negative effects; the way they feel rejected the way the dreams got neglected. But the conditions of an individual don’t mind what has been targeted is the challenge relations of the gender.

The responsibilities of men they focuses to improve everything what it needs to be, the interest of women through the control of men is forbidden. The looks in the eye of a woman magistrate her conditions, the strength she has and the weakness that she can’t. The sanctuary they want to stay is in the man’s hand; to stay what it needs to stay for its own good because they deal about the conditions they have. The woman’s feeling on rejected in a job she likes, are the feelings of the world that doesn’t consider equality and freedom. If their likes pushed away but one doesn’t feel the same happiness, the violence or fight shall face those consequences. There are also some men experiencing inequality, the idea of a woman they judge on the way they looks and the way they saw; the affection on them was like a bad for them.

One of the reason that gender equality the goal of the world is not rising to get the light. The freedom for all is fading and the opposite just keep on growing. Nothing is wrong if the two made a perfect plan, a man for all the jobs to live, a woman for all the works to love. Gender and Development (GAD) doesn’t only focus on men and women but it focuses between their relations. Gender Equality is the fight for all not only a fight for a woman.

"Love, Life"

Nature’s the life, life’s the nature; Beauty of life and beauty of nature. Gifted to us permanently, a present that is from the vision of beauteous surroundings and lightness freedom. Born together with full of happiness, the pure in our hands to appreciate, and fullest in our heart to care that is endless. Through in our reflections we see is full of gracefulness and rainbows that deletes that needs to be deleted. Environmental awareness is to understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection. Promoting environmental awareness is an easy way to become an environmental steward and participate in creating a brighter future for children.

On the one hand, provision of environmental education creates greater awareness in individuals and communities with respect to putting environmental resources to use even while conserving them. On the other hand, greater environmental awareness increases the scope of environmental education—as a discipline as well as inclusion of aspects of it within the scope of other disciplines. Global warming, air and water pollution, overuse of fertilisers, the negative implication of use of plastics and polythene, conservation of energy and fuel resources, all these are topics of current media debate. Newspapers and magazines too are, one may say, more environment conscious than ever before. Articles and analyses explore the environmental debacle that our globe is headed towards and create awareness in the common man about environmental problems.

Schools and universities play an enormously significant role in generating environmental awareness among children and the youth. Textbooks reveal an increasing concern with environmental problems and solutions and numerous courses are available at the postgraduate level that provide environmental education relating to management and conservation of environment, environmental health, social ecology and so on. The objective of such education is that individuals and social groups should become aware, acquire knowledge, develop attitudes, skills and abilities and be able to address real-life environmental problems. Integrated inter-disciplinary and holistic education is to be provided to all sections of the population. It would first of all require a new approach to education itself—an approach which cuts across different subjects in schools and universities.

"Children for the Aim"

                Children’s trapped in the darkness deserve a freedom to be with lightness. On their beliefs “Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan” children is our hero who are still surrounded by unnecessary attention darkness, and it is in our hands to lift them high and reach their future that they’re waiting for. Children’s right to learn and be a part of hero in the world; their eyes, and our eyes is the happiness for the efforts in triumph. Their movements are possible to unimitate others that are not for their rights and only for themselves, but to give a better future for itself and the part of their life. With the theme, “Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan,” this year’s celebration of the NCM is made extra special as it coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC).

This year’s celebration, Pascua noted aims to “intensify public awareness on the rights of children and remind all sectors to be responsible in raising Filipino children to become well-rounded people, and to protect them at all costs, as enshrined in the UN CRC.” Pascua explained that this year’s NCM celebration also aims to “promote the institutionalization of a child-friendly and child-sensitive environment and governance through the implementation and monitoring of CRC at all levels” and to “provide a platform for discourse on the newly-elected landmark legislations and persistent issues pertaining to children’s rights to survival, development, protection, and participation.”

Ultimately, the celebration aims to “empower children as rights-holders and duty-bearers to deliver commitment to promote, protect, and fulfill their rights as children.” Aside from reaffirming the commitment of the stakeholders to “respect, protect and fulfill” the rights of the child – as enshrined in the 1987 Philippine Constitution, other domestic laws and rules, and international law (primarily the CRC), DepEd noted that the summit aims to “unpack the various rights of the child in basic education and provide a venue to deepen appreciation of these rights by both the rights-holders and duty-bearers in a rights-based framework of basic education.” DepEd also noted that the summit aims to “celebrate the successes in upholding the rights of the child and identify the challenges in their realization to help address them with a whole-of-society approach, including the participation of children themselves as rights-holders.”

"Humanity is the Key"

                Values in connection of reverence of human, education is not the key to success if knowledge of one shall use their action by letting manner be forsake; but humanity is the key to success, how grades will supposed to help? If the individual claims to learn and treat other humans as his fellow. Humanity’s for our right are ways to express a person the value of the actions. The celebration, Malaluan said, “Aims to create moral awakening and national consciousness on human values that are unique, genuine, and positively Filipino.”

 The observation of FVM, he added, also “seeks to mobilize Filipinos for nation-building by actualizing human values in their daily lives as citizens” and to “awaken all in the power of values and ideals in achieving the individual and national goals.” DepEd enjoined all public and private schools to “hold essential and meaningful activities in partnership with other stakeholders to affirm and show relevant Filipino values in practice as this nation advance technologically.”

In the guidelines on the conduct of the FVM, DepEd noted that school activities related to the celebration must not limited to “having contests or competitions but exhibits of talents and innovations on creative arts such as poster and slogan-making, poem, song, jingle or story composition, symposia or seminars, film showing or stage play on current issues related to the theme, acting out alternative interventions exemplifying positive Filipino values as we aspire to be developed and giving recognition for exemplary behavior of students and school community partners/members among others.”
